Happy 2009!

I’m excited for this year. So many things are new and different at the Institute of Success and Goal Achievement.

We will, of course, continue to have great guests to interview, as that has been core to the value we provide to you. The guests have such great insight and knowledge that I want to get them to share with you by asking probing questions that align with your interests. Look for more fantastic guests this year.

Next, the i-saga Membership site is just about ready to launch. Although I learned a few lessons the hard way, I’m thrilled at what this will look like in just a few short weeks (more on this below).

In troubleshooting the membership site, I had some wonderful insights about how to make the i-saga website better, and I am thrilled to get started on these changes that will give you a better experience.

On a personal note, I managed to leverage some of what I learned last year during Jack Canfield’s Platinum Inner Circle and Jim Bunch’s The Ultimate Game of Life into some great relationships, business opportunities, and clarity about my vision, mission, purpose, and how all my businesses tie together. That clarity has been priceless!

If you have not heard of their programs, I suggest you take a look at these links and consider how you might play with them this year:

So here we are at the start of this year. The Institute of Success and Goal Achievement is getting a facelift. I have good balance with Consulting and Results Coaching to large and small businesses and to entrepreneurs. There’s great trajectory with The Dear God Letter and SendOutCards (which my wife is driving and was just promoted to Senior Manager). Plus, I’ve begun executing plans to achieve some personal goals ahead of schedule. The illustrations for my first children’s book are nearly finished, and my first business book is, well, coming along slowly (but is clear in my mind!).

Life for me is good. I hope it is for you, too!

i-saga Monthly Membership – Pre-launch

As I mentioned above, I learned a few lessons with this whole membership site process. One lesson was to have the testing further along before announcing to the world that it was coming!

Oh well, given the "cat’s out of the bag," let me tell you more about where we are. You know that the membership site is something I’ve been working on to provide an easy way for you to connect within the i-saga community and to have effortless access to the interviews in the archives. Here’s what I’m developing.

Last fall, I switched from live interviews to pre-recorded interviews and replays. This has improved logistics and the sanity of everyone on my team. You can find the current interview on the blog, which is www.i-saga.net/blog.

I will continue having these interviews available for you to listen f.r.e.e each week, and I am committed to providing guests with topics that you find interesting and exciting.

The member benefits will include things like ability to download the MP3s, the transcripts (for those of you who would rather read the notes), access to members-only live interviews where you can interact with the guests on the calls, and other ideas I have up my sleeve.

I’m playing with the membership software now, so this will be available shortly. I’ll have an official announcement soon! For those of you who have been asking and providing suggestions – thanks for all your help!

Note: To give you a taste of what is in our archives, I’ve pulled some great interviews from there to rebroadcast over the next few weeks. I’m sure you’ll agree that the ones I’ve selected are fun to listen to and will provide you some useful insights.

Catch the most recent interviews while they are still posted for f.r.e.e at i-saga-guest-interviews.com! I have not yet pulled them down, so grab all you can before I tuck them into the archive!

Resources to Help You Achieve Your Goals in 2009

Here’s a short list of some fantastic resources that can help you achieve the goals you’ve set for this year.

How To Get From Where You Are To Where You Want To Be!
Jack Canfield’s book, The Success Principles

This is one that I’ve re-read many times, and I continue to gain useful insights from it!

The Success Principles will teach you how to increase your confidence, tackle daily challenges, live with passion and purpose, and realize all your ambitions. Not merely a collection of good ideas, this book spells out the 64 timeless principles used by successful men and women throughout history. And the fundamentals are the same no matter what your profession or circumstances—even if you’re a student, stay-at-home mom or currently unemployed.

The Canfield E-Coach

The NEW Canfield E-Coach program makes mastering The Success Principles easier and faster than ever. It's like having Jack Canfield as your personal tutor.

The Mastermind eBook

This is an ebook about creating extraordinary results using Mastermind Groups. This complete guide is for anyone already in or thinking about forming a mastermind group. It is an important part of my success, and I recommend that everyone be part of their own mastermind – this guide can show you how.

Special Report: How to Use Dear God Letters to Create the Life You Want

Scroll to the bottom of this linked page, and read about how amazing and easy this new process is to use. There is also a link on that site to a tool on Facebook that makes it simple for you to create your letters. Have fun with the process, and be amazed at the results!

The X-iser

If you have a New Year Resolution to get in shape, lose a few pounds, or have more energy, then take a look at this small, portable stepper. Notice why it’s different from other exercise equipment. Can you invest a few minutes of exercise a few times a week? The X-iser helps maximize the minutes you have available.

Interview Highlights

Please visit i-saga-guest-interviews.com every Friday for access to the weekly interviews. That's the "guest interview" category section of the i-saga.net blog page.

Remember, the intent is to keep these as a f.r.e.e. resource to you so the replay will be available in the blog posting for one week after the initial broadcast. After that, we’ll put it into the archive where members can gain access to ALL of the interviews and transcripts, so you can come back as often as you like!

We are in the process of making these changes, so as of right now, you can still go to the “Guest Interviews” section of the Success Stories Blog for highlights of the recent interviews, and catch as many of the replays as you want before we move them to the members only archive.

7 Steps to a Great Year for You

I know this year will be great for me. As I mentioned above, I now have such clarity regarding my personal vision and mission, and I know that my business interests are perfectly aligned. Here’s how this year can be great for you, too - I'll outline 7 steps for you to follow.

Yes, there are some interesting dynamics in the global economy right now, but how can you change that into a positive? How can you guarantee that you will have a great year? Answer: Simply follow these 7 steps.

First, decide. It starts with a decision. You simply decide that it will be a great year for you. While many people have decided to be in a contraction mode and focus their energy on worrying about what bad things might happen to them, you can decide to have an abundance perspective.

For example, I know that there are an unlimited number of companies who need help with their businesses, or individuals who want to learn to get results in this environment. I can assist all of them to get the systems in place that will make achieving their goals easy.

Second, stay positive. It’s about maintaining a positive attitude in all situations. I’ve had my share of challenges in the recent past, but learning to keep stress and my attitude in check allowed me to have an optimistic outlook about tomorrow.

Start each day with some encouraging thoughts about what good you will create. Hopefully, you have goals that you review daily and visualize as complete, and you have affirmations that you repeat regularly for each of your goals. That is a step that you can begin today, which will help reprogram your brain to be on alert for opportunities that can accelerate your goal achievement.

Third, learn to manage your stress levels. There are a number of proven techniques to help reduce stress, and I’ve incorporated many of them into my regular routines. I have always exercised, but I've recently added meditation and journaling, which are proven to reduce the cortisol (stress hormone) levels in our bodies to help us manage stress. I recommend that you incorporate these things into your routines, as well.

Fourth, stay focused on your action plan. If you have a clear set of goals that you want to achieve during 2009, then have them act as a “North Star” for you. Remember, goals are not worth much unless you also get into action.

Many people set goals but don’t have the foggiest idea what to do next. Don’t get caught in the trap of confusion over too many choices. Instead, consider your most important goals for this year, and create an action plan of what you need to do to get there.

Fifth, work your plan. Your plan does not need to be perfect. You just have to take the first step and then respond to feedback. Think of getting into action similar to using the GPS in your car. You need to be in motion to get feedback. Once you’re in motion (taking action), you will eventually get to your destination (your goal).

Sixth, use proven tools and approaches. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. With a steady focus on your goals and the action plan you’ve created, you are now taking steps toward achieving them. While you’re in action, you can also do some research to see what other successful people have done and follow their examples.

This is one of the greatest benefits of being part of the i-saga community. You have access each week to some fantastic interviews with successful people. Listen to them over and over, review your notes, and mark up the transcripts (which are part of the upcoming membership).

Seventh, enjoy the process! Life is meant to be a fun adventure, so enjoy it while you live it. If you’re taking some of the steps above to keep your stress level manageable, then you can use the positive stress – eustress – to your advantage while keeping the levels of negative stress – distress – to a minimum.

Remember, winning is fun. Achieving your goals is fun, too. If you believe you’re well on your way to the success levels you have dreamed about, then you will indeed enjoy the process.

* * *

I know that if you follow the steps I’ve outlined above, you will have an amazing year!

To your highest success,

Pete Winiarski
