Where is Pete in October?

I’m thrilled that this month I am a student of Jack Canfield’s once again, this time in his elite Train the Trainer program. Jack will be developing a number of skilled professionals to lead personal tranformations based on his work. Jack has over 30 years of experience as a leader in the professional and personal growth industry, and he wants to propagate his teachings by incorporating his work into the work of the leaders he has selected.

I am excited to broaden my skills, and I am looking forward to helping my clients develop further and faster than ever before.

I also have an active business client schedule, with 4 separate Strategic Goal Deployment™ events. One is with a client I have been helping all this year with Strategic Goal Deployment™, and I am now facilitating their preparation for 2010. See WinEnterprisesLLC.com/articles.php for more detail.

Saskia Shakin

Topic: What makes a speaker riveting? What makes an audience come alive?

Saskia Shakin, known as the keynote coach, examines how good speakers engage with their audience, and how not-so-good speakers engage with themselves.

“Most people think that public speaking is about the speech. It’s not! It’s really about you . . . about showing up authentically at the podium, not as a perfect speaker but as an imperfect human being with a story to tell.”

“If I could change one thing about speaking in public, it would be to have people focus less on their speech and more on their presence. Look at what you send out in energy, because that is what will come right back at you!”

Saskia’s 30-year career has given her many stories to tell, and they can be found in her book “More Than Words Can Say: The Making of Inspired Speakers”—a collection of wisdom and war stories she has gathered from working with corporate America as well as with artists, academics, and just plain folks like you & me.

Topic: Manage Your Thoughts to Ensure Freedom from Fear

Do you find yourself afraid to make the changes in your life that you know will launch you toward a higher level of success than you ever dreamed?

We learn many things in our lives, but rarely are we taught how to manage the activity of our minds – our thoughts. Consequently, we experience inconsistent success and erratic happiness. An undirected mind worries, doubts, fears, and imagines the worst. All of this is, of course, completely fabricated – yet, it can control our lives.

Whether personally or professionally, your mind will enable or destroy your chance for a meaningful, happy life. Join the interview with Karen Wright and discover a life beyond hesitation. You deserve more and it’s waiting for you!

Pen and Paper – Simple Tools to Create Outstanding Results

Have you ever had a million-dollar idea – one that you absolutely knew would be a hit – only to wonder 24 hours later what your idea was?

Bummer, huh!

When you set aggressive goals and reinforce them with visualization and affirmations constantly, you’re bound to get some great ideas. You’re marshalling your subconscious mind into service on your behalf, and it’s doing its job to provide you with the intuitive hits that will spell out the ultimate success for you.

Now, you (and your conscious mind) must do your part and act on those ideas when they come up. Before you can act on them, however, you must actually remember them. How do you do that? The answer may be more obvious than you think. It’s as simple as having a pen and paper near you at all times.

When was the last time you forgot something that was extremely important? If only you had a notepad or a napkin and a pen you would have easily remembered. I get my best ideas at the most inconvenient times (as do so many other people), and I need to have systems in place to capture them. One easy system is to have pens and paper to capture notes scattered around my house, my office, my car, and other places where I can get to them quickly.

Okay, I don’t actually have a pen with me in the shower, but you bet I have one on the bathroom counter with a few blank 3 x 5 cards!

Here’s where I’ve had some of my glimmers of brilliance.

  • Lying in bed at night
  • Sitting at the coffee shop in the morning
  • Facilitating an important meeting with captivating dialogue
  • Driving in my car or sitting in the back of a taxi cab
  • Flying to my next meeting
  • Meditating and journaling

Can you imagine if I relied on my memory to keep track of these ideas that seem to fly in and out of my head faster than that jet I was on? No way! I have to write it down!

Having a method to capture ideas, thoughts, goals, and dreams whenever and wherever they occur is an important success strategy. Therefore, it is necessary to have a pen available in your pocket at all times. These ideas can accelerate your business or solve a problem, so don’t let them get away.

Here are some methods to capture ideas that have worked for me:

  • 3/5 cards
  • Post-it notes
  • Napkins while at your favorite bar / coffee shop (you pick your own vice)
  • Journal
  • Notebook
  • Recycled paper (don’t throw away the pages from your printer you don’t need any more – turn them over and use the back!

I’ve shared my thoughts and frameworks with quite a few friends and clients on lunch napkins in my day. One client recently told me he still has a napkin I wrote on from a meeting that was over a year ago.

Remember, ideas come and go quickly so be ready for them with a pen and paper at a moment’s notice. We all have lots of ideas. It’s the super successful people who capture them, and then act on them quickly. Are you ready to act on your ideas this month?

* * *

One of the benefits of interviewing such super successful people every week is that I am literally bombarded with fantastic ideas! I have my pen scribbling as fast as the guests answer my questions. I encourage you to get a special “i-saga notebook” to use as you listen to these interviews each week.

My challenge to you is to see if you can come up with 50 ideas during October from the i-saga interviews. There are 5 Fridays this month, so that’s just 10 each week. Listen to the interviews at i-saga.net and get started right away!

To your highest success,

Pete Winiarski
